Based in Johannesburg, working remotely with businesses nationwide — the same team, the same standard, wherever you are.
IN·DETAIL is a digital agency based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, working with businesses across South Africa. Being in Gauteng matters for the clients who want us in the room; for everyone else, it is simply where the team happens to sit.
We work with businesses in Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Gqeberha and the smaller centres in between. The service is identical wherever you are — brand identity, website design, digital marketing, creative production and AI-assisted content — and so is the standard we hold it to.
If you are in Gauteng, we are a short drive away and happy to meet in person; see our Bedfordview office page for directions and hours. If you are not, nothing about the work changes.
1. The first conversation. A video call to understand what you are trying to move — the business problem, not the deliverable. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right team for it. No charge, no deck.
2. Scope and quotation. You receive a written proposal covering exactly what is included, what it costs, how many revision rounds, and when it lands. Work starts once that is signed.
3. Production and review. Work is shared through a review link where you comment directly on the current version. We agree checkpoints up front so you are never waiting in the dark, and never surprised at the end.
4. Delivery and handover. Final files are delivered digitally, in every format you need, and ownership transfers to you on final payment. If you want us to keep going, a monthly retainer gives you a standing team with a 48-hour turnaround.
The parts of agency work that genuinely benefit from being in a room together are the first strategic conversation and the shoot day. Everything else — design, iteration, copy, build, campaign management, reporting — is work that happens on screens and travels perfectly well over a connection.
What actually determines whether a remote engagement works is response time and a clear approval trail. Both are process problems, not geography problems, and we have spent three decades solving them. Being established in 1991 means we were doing this before it was fashionable, and long before it was necessary.
For photography and video we travel. For everything else, the question of where you are simply does not come up.
Yes, and a good portion of our work runs that way. Brand, design, web and content projects are delivered remotely as standard — briefings by video call, work shared for review online, files delivered digitally. The only parts that need us physically present are photography and video shoots, and we travel for those.
Every project runs through a shared review link where you can see the current version and comment directly on it. Nothing goes to print or goes live without your written sign-off. The number of revision rounds is agreed in the quotation up front, so there are no surprises on either side.
Yes. Photography and videography anywhere in South Africa is quoted with travel and logistics as a separate, itemised line so you can see exactly what the travel costs versus the production. For a single-location shoot it is often more economical than it sounds.
In our experience the opposite, because the work is not gated on meetings. Retainer clients get a 48-hour turnaround on most requests regardless of where they are. What matters is responsiveness and a clear approval process, not proximity.
South African Standard Time (SAST, UTC+2), Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00. For international clients that overlaps comfortably with most of Europe, the Middle East and the UK, and with the early morning on the US east coast.
Tell us what you’re trying to move. First conversation is free, wherever you are.
